Small Groups
Our small group Bible studies are a great place to have fun, build deep relationships, grow in faith, or explore faith for the first time! No need to bring anything, we have everything for you! Just come prepared to participate in discussion with an open mind. We study passages straight from the Holy Bible to see what it says and how it applies to our lives. No previous knowledge or experience required. Our Bible studies are meant for people of all backgrounds, whether you've read a passage a million times, or have never opened the Bible. This is the place for you!
We have many small groups throughout the week to fit your schedule and needs. Each small group studies the same passages.

The Monday evening Hillcrest Small Group is led by Noah Doan. Noah is a junior studying industrial engineering who loves logic puzzles and Bible studies! The vision for this small group is to be a place for students to learn how to have God’s presence firm, and not a passing, in their lives. We encourage vulnerability, missional work, and helping each other grow in our faith through accountability and prayer! Our small group will have your favorite snacks available on a weekly basis. Come get your fill of food and your fill from the Lord!
Tuesdays 12pm - OC
The Tuesday at noon small group is led by BJ Blume and Caleb Bartle. BJ is a senior in Electrical Engineering who enjoys connecting and creating community. Caleb is a senior in Human Resource Development who enjoys exercising and making new connections with students.
Our vision for this small group is to create a place where students can read, discuss, and apply scripture no matter their background. We want to create a community that is welcoming and allows a safe space for people to be vulnerable in. We want to grow together and have some fun along the way. We would love for you to join us!
Tuesdays 8pm - Hillcrest
Heyy everyone! We’re Jordan Queen and G Smith and we’re the leaders of Tuesday's small group in Hillcrest Lobby where we play games at 7pm and start our Bible study at 8pm. G is a junior at OU and studies graphic design. He likes to spend time with friends and enjoys doing art! Jordan is a junior at OU as well and studies Creative Writing specializing in poetry. She loves to hang out with friends like G as well as play video games, watch her favorite shows, and read books. We want this small group to be founded on authenticity. A place where we can dissect the passage together and engage in the mystery of Jesus little by little together. All are welcome as well as your questions, and we would love to see you at our small group :)
Tuesdays 8pm - Oak View
Hi friends! We’re Michael Nays and Michael Foster and we lead the Tuesday night Oak View small group, with games at 7pm. Michael Nays is a senior studying math secondary education. He likes to spend time with his friends and watch movies. Michael Foster is a senior studying psychology. She likes to talk to people and read C.S. Lewis. We want this small group to be a place to form real and genuine friendships and to learn more about who Jesus is. It’s a place for everyone, whether you have always been Christian, or are exploring faith for the first time. We can’t wait to meet you!

Hello everyone, the Hamlin small group is led by Shamar Cooksey and Alysia Vaughn. Shamar is a junior that is studying Journalism, Media Broadcasting, and Video Editing. He enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym, spreading the gospel, and is very driven. Alysia is also a junior studying marketing. She enjoys listening to music, sleep, playing sports, and having deep conversations about God. Our vision for our small group is to create a place of comfort and vulnerability where both believers, non-believers, and people exploring their faith can learn and grow in their faith in Jesus Christ together. In all, we would like to challenge everyone to dig into the passage every week. A culture that puts Jesus in the forefront and demonstrates the gospel to students at a young age. Hope to see you there!
Thursdays 3pm - OC
The Thursday afternoon small group is led by Isaiah Whitaker and Eric Wagoner. Isaiah is a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering who's a leader at InterVarsity who loves Star Wars, Basketball and spending time with new people. Prayer Gatherings - Mon 3pm | Fri 2:30pm
The Monday and Friday Prayer Gatherings are led by Julia Wagoner and McKinzie Davey. Julia is OU alumni and attended InterVarsity as a member and leader until she graduated and was offered the job as staff… which she of course couldn’t refuse. Julia likes parks, hiking, and comfy blankets. McKinzie is a senior psychology student who became a leader last winter after her radical transformation to Christianity last year. She likes friends, making cupcakes, dance parties, and spiritual chat n chill. Our Prayer Gathering space will be one of bonding, spiritual exploration, openness, trust, and of course…prayer! We will be trying different types of prayer like experiential prayer, ACTS prayer, lectio divina, and many more. Bring anything on your mind or heart and come see how God moves!
